What is Newsletter marketing? It is a form of opt-in e-mail marketing, where each recipient of the newsletter has consented to receive it, usually by adding their email address to a list and confirming their wishes to receive e-mail from you.

What Are Feedback Loops?

Many ISPs include a “this is spam” button or link for a piece of email sent from a specific IP address. When clicked, it is considered a “complaint”. A feedback loop (or complaint report) notes when a recipient clicks “this is spam” for one of your emails and sends a copy of the report to you.

These reports are extremely useful in the analysis of your lists and the content of your email communications as well as keeping up with compliancy and SPAM laws.

Buying leads can be a good way to jump start your e-mail marketing.  It can also be the fastest way to put yourself out of business if you do not exercise some caution and make sure the leads you are buying are not junk that will cause you nothing but trouble or land you in court or jail!

First let me say that if you are thinking about buying one of those disks with thousands of e-mail address’s for next to nothing…..DON’T! again DON’T!

Most are old junk, spam traps and dead e-mail address’s that will get you blacklisted for spam, your hosting account killed for spam and generally cause a lot of trouble for you that you really do not want or need! More »
